Ashlee and Elise are pelvic health physiotherapists who have an interest in treating all things pregnancy and postpartum! They are located at Back In Motion Sydenham and are now open at Your Local Midwife, Bacchus Marsh.
Our recommendations throughout pregnancy and postpartum is for women to be assessed by a pelvic health physiotherapist at 20 weeks, 34-36 weeks gestation and 6 weeks postpartum or onwards. These milestones allow us to assess pelvic floor function, identify any concerns such as muscle weakness or tension, provide guidance on birth preparation, optimise recovery strategies, and support a smooth transition through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum healing

Lactation Consultant
Melissa is an IBCLC, midwife and bodyworker who specialises in supporting women and babies with feeding, oral function and body tension. She takes a whole-picture approach, assessing the nervous system, posture, oral anatomy and functional movement to understand why challenges are happening, not just treat the symptoms.
She works gently but powerfully to release tension, improve feeding, support regulation and restore comfort for both mother and baby. Her care is grounded in skill, evidence, and deep intuition.

Our counselling services offer compassionate, evidence-based support through some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative seasons.
Led by experienced mental health social worker Emma, we offer general counselling for emotional wellbeing, relationship challenges, and couples therapy grounded in connection and communication.
Emma brings a special focus to women’s health, fertility, and the parenting journey, supporting clients through IVF, donor conception, surrogacy, and the hormonal shifts of preconception to postpartum.
Whether you're navigating change, seeking clarity, or just need someone to truly listen, our space is warm, inclusive, and deeply supportive. You don’t have to carry it all alone. Support is here when you're ready.

Spinal Flow - Mother + Baby Body Balance
Melissa supports women and babies with bodywork that restores alignment, releases tension and creates space for optimal function. She works with misalignment in the pelvis, spine, and soft tissues helping the body organise itself for comfort in pregnancy, efficient movement in labour, and smoother birth pathways.
She specialises in working with:
Breech and posterior babies
Babies who are “stuck” or not finding position
Pelvic imbalance and pregnancy pain
Postpartum recovery and realignment
For babies, she works gently with body tension patterns, oral function and head/neck alignment to support feeding, settling and nervous-system regulation.
Her focus is simple:
Release restriction. Improve mobility. Create space. Support optimal positioning for both mother and baby, before and after birth.
If something feels tight, stuck or not quite right, Melissa helps the body find its way back.

Kerriann is a highly skilled massage therapist who supports women through pregnancy, postpartum and everyday life with remedial, relaxation and therapeutic massage. She works to release tension, ease pain, improve mobility and support nervous-system calm — helping you come back home to your body.
She works with:
Pregnancy discomfort (back, hips, ribs, pelvis, sciatica)
Postpartum recovery, feeding/carrying tension + muscle overload
Remedial treatment for chronic tightness and pain
Relaxation massage for stress relief + nervous system reset
Headaches, jaw tension and posture-related strain
Her sessions are equal parts effective and restorative — targeted where needed, gentle where it matters, and always grounded in evidence, intuition and care.
